The moment you enter the new Stan and Ollie’s restaurant you will be greeted by friendly and accommodating staff. Relax on the comfortable sofas whilst your taste buds get to work, looking at the menu of beautifully prepared and presented meals. The restaurant’s décor and delightful ambience, include a number of individually lit alcoves with figurines of the famous duo and other character’s, all going to create an interesting Hollywood style atmosphere, even the menu has a film strip! Nine months of careful planning by proprietor’s David, and his brother, Paul, culminated in the opening in April, 2007, of this intriguing, unusual and immaculate establishment. Starters include breaded garlic mushrooms served on a bed of fresh salad with dip or a deep fried brie, both delicious. Main courses consist of the beautifully presented sumptuous brocheta, bbq’d pieces of chicken, beef, pork, prawns, lamb and mixed vegetables, served on two skewers with a portion of Lyonnaise potatoes, or the fresh tuna steak. And as one would expect the dessert menu includes a number of tempting, enticing offerings. A three course Sunday roast is available at €13.50 – booking advisable. The quality of the food, paired with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, makes a visit to this establishment an absolute must.

Restauranteurs Paul and David Hurst have been running restaurants in Spain now for over 10 years, their latest offering, Stan & Ollies at El Raso near Guardamar has recently opened and is receiving rave reviews all round.

"We always find it hard to go and eat somewhere that gives us a great choice of food. Here at Stan & Ollies we are trying to offer a great selection of starters, main courses and homemade deserts that cater for all. All our wines are ones which we would like to have the choice of if we were out at a restaurant. With Stan & Ollies we offer all of these qualities at resonable prices in one place.

David and I were always bought up on good food including a lot of seafood. Every holiday we had as boys, I remember being fed Moules Mariniere by the kilo. As this is one of my favourite dishes we made sure that this was a dish we would become famous for. Using 1 kilo of fresh mussels per portion and a sauce combining onion, celery, white wine, garlic and cream. It's fast becoming one of our most popular and best selling dishes.
Another popular plate is the shoulder of lamb. With 1.2kilo of succulent oven baked lamb topped with a glaze of mint, cranberry and honey, this sure turns heads as it comes out past the tables. All of the deserts are homemade, beautifully presented, with choices such as cheesecake, brulee, puddings, sponges and mousses. These are a perfect way of finishing a lovely meal and proving just as popular.

David and I have been in Spain for 10 years. We have another restaurant called Laurel & Hardys and have been working here for the past 7 years. Laurel & Hardys caters mainly for families and for those who wish to choose from a 12 Euro menu of the evening. However with our new restaurant, Stan & Ollies we wanted to create a more up market version, one where you can enjoy a nice evening with soft music, exquisite ambiance and delightful food. I'm sure you'll agree we've achieved this and hope you come and experience it for yourself".
