Open for nine months Stallions is steadily building a position as one of the most popular eateries in the area. On entering it is immediately apparent that you’re in for a good night. Always busy and lively, this restaurant is a popular venue for families, groups or romantic couples. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with professional, attentive staff proving that good service really makes a difference.
The menu is a blend of international cuisines, starters include; prawn piri piri, stuffed jalapenos and deep fried camembert. For main courses their famous Highland stroganoff is a real delight - slices of fillet beef, sautéed with onions, mushrooms in cream and whisky sauce - flambéed with drambouie. Also worth a mention are the tender pork fillets, coated in a wholegrain mustard and brandy cream sauce. A full range of pastas, steaks and specials from the grill are available with specialities such as ostrich and kangaroo, and to finish off your meal a fine selection of homemade sweets which changes weekly.
